Textile products are integral part of every one's life. They provide
the basic for clothing for furnishing and for various domestic fabrics
used in the home. All early fibers were derived from plants or animals
life. Wool, Cotton and Silk were the most important. Textiles fibers
are the building blocks of textile, which are converted into textile
products in a series of steps. They appear in a natural fiber material
(wood pulp) and in the manufacture of Rayon or synthesized form chemicals
eg: Nylon, Polyester. Fibers are made form natural resources or form
chemicals or are a blend of both.
Natural Fibers: There are four varieties of natural fibers
1. Cotton
2. Linen
3. Wool
4. Silk
Man-Made Fibers: there are two variety of man- made fibers
Man-made fibers, which are made from natural raw material, that are
recycled (cellulose regenerated) eg; rayon made from wood pulp.
Fibers, which are synthetically made i.e., the whole process from raw
material to the end product is synthetic eg: Nylon, Polyester.
