BASIC -DESIGN COLOURS

MONOCROMATIC

It is the one colors job; take one solid colour mix with Black or white.

WARM COLOURS

Yellow, Red & Brown

COOL COLOURS:

Which give soothing effect like Blue, Green & White.

BRILLANT COLOURS

They are intense which strong pigmentation or reflected color more like an oil painting e.g.: Orange, Magenta, Pink, Ultra, marine blue, lemon yellow, olive green.

MEDIUM

They are soothing and sub the colours e.g.: Grey, Pink, lemon yellow & Sky Blue.

DEEP

They are rich & elegant colors eg. Blue, Bottle green, orange More Green.

SUBDUEDE

They are those colours which are Grayed either with the addition of Black & White or neutralizing complimentary colors eg. Grey Rewseana (White + steel gray), Blacks white to produce grey.

DARK COLOURS

These colours are similar to deep but with much more blacked added to the medium.

CONCEN TRATED

Colors like chocolate Brown orange, fawn. These colors are intense with strong hue value & intensity all combined.

TINT

When White colour is added to pure colour it helps in making TINT.

SHADE

When Black to the names to the colours for e.g. Yellow, Blue, Red, & violet.

HUE

It refers to the names of the colours for e.g. Yellow, Blue, and Red & Violet

VALUE

It refers to how light & darks color to it. For e.g. Yellow is high valued almost white. White violet is a low valued almost black. Red & Blue falls into the middle range of value.
